About Global Suppression

The purpose of the Global Suppression List (GSL) is to ensure that you never mail certain email addresses. When you add or upload emails to the GSL list, they will be suppressed from any future mailings from any of your brands or any of your lists. In addition, they will automatically be suppressed from any future uploads of new addresses that you try to add to your subscription list. You will also not be able to resubscribe these users. The status of these users added through GSL will be abuse / complaint.

To navigate to the Global Suppression page, open the Lists drop-down menu in the navigation bar and select Global Suppression.

Browse Global Suppression

This will allow you to browse for users who are currently on the global suppression file. You can either look for a specific email by entering it into the search bar, browse the entire list, or download the list onto your computer.

Add Emails to Global Suppression

Emails can be added individually or uploaded with a .txt file.

Tips & Tricks

To remove a user from one of your brands, or one of your lists, we recommend you use the Unsubscribe Upload functionality on the List screen. The status of these users will be unsubscribe. These users will be allowed to resubscribe.
